GRANT STINCHFIELD (HOST): It’s common sense, by the way, to build the wall just as the president says it is. Walls work. You don’t see many prisons without them, because they do a good job as acting as a barrier. We also need to let people protect themselves. That’s part of the solution as well. It’s no coincidence that where crime is the worst in America, gun control is also at its worst. You let the good people carry guns, the bad people will instantly be put on notice. It’s about empowerment. It is sad though we now have to empower people, even fight for people to exercise their constitutional rights in this country. Someone who knows something all about this is Republican Congressman from North Carolina, our old pal Richard Hudson. Richard, great to see you. RICHARD HUDSON (R-NC): Great to be with you. STINCHFIELD: So I brought you on to talk about national reciprocity again, we kind of missed the mark -- well it wasn’t we. The United States Senate missed the mark last time around. But we’ve got these border issues as well and you know congressman, the more I think about about this national reciprocity, the issues we face with immigration and crime, all of this stuff goes together, doesn’t it?   HUDSON: Absolutely. We have a right in this country to defend ourselves that has been threatened by liberal politicians and by a patchwork of laws across the country that make it difficult for a citizen who is trying to follow the law, who is trying to just exercise their constitutional rights to protect themselves and protect their family, it's very difficult to follow the law and to try to live within the law and also protect yourself and that's why we need national reciprocity.       Previously: NRATV correspondent used white nationalist talking point on air to fearmonger about immigrants NRATV correspondent claims immigration process should be “difficult or painful or even dangerous” for migrants' sake NRATV on separating asylum-seeking families: Maybe children are "in better hands in the hands of the federal government"
