JetBlue Airways Corp. said Friday December load factor declined, as growth in the seat supplies outpaced the rise in demand. Load factor fell to 81.4% from 82.7% a year ago, as capacity rose 8.5% to 5.25 billion available seat miles and traffic grew 6.8% to 4.35 billion revenue passenger miles. The air carrier said it now expects fourth-quarter revenue per available seat mile (RASM) to rise 2.4% from last year, compared with its previously provided guidance range of a 1.5% to 3.5% increase. JetBlue's stock, which was still inactive in premarket trade, has climbed 5.8% over the past three months. Over the same time, the NYSE Arca Airline Index has gained 2.7% and the S&P 500 has lost 4.8%. Market Pulse Stories are Rapid-fire, short news bursts on stocks and markets as they move.
