Eight House Republicans vote for bill to re-open Treasury, IRS
Eight House Republicans voted for a bill on Wednesday to re-open the Treasury Department and Internal Revenue Service. The bill also funds the Securities and Exchange Commission and Commodity Futures Trading Commission among other agencies. The bill passed 240-188 but Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has said he won't bring up the legislation in the upper chamber.
