Aphria names supply chain SVP with experience in retail grocery
Canada-based cannabis company Aphria Inc. said Friday it appointed Brett Marchand as senior vice president of Supply Chain, effective Feb. 11. Marchand was previously vice president of supply chain and logistics Canada at The Northwest Company, where he oversaw a supply network that supported access to 140 retail grocery and general merchandise stores. "With the addition of leaders like Brett, Aphria continues to build bench strength that will propel the company's growth as the cannabis industry evolves." Aphria's stock, which was still inactive in premarket trade, has tumbled 24% over the past three months, while the ETFMG Alternative Harvest ETF has gained 2.2% and the S&P 500 has slipped 3.6%.
