Amazon.com Inc. said late Monday it has agreed to buy Eero, a home mesh wi-fi system maker. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. "We are incredibly impressed with the Eero team and how quickly they invented a wi-fi solution that makes connected devices just work," said Dave Limp, a vice president of Amazon Devices and Services. "We have a shared vision that the smart home experience can get even easier, and we're committed to continue innovating on behalf of customers." The deal's closing "is subject to customary closing conditions," Amazon said, without providing a time frame.
